Implants
Typically made of titanium, these fixtures are placed into the jawbone and allowed to heal until they are integrated into the bone. Implants may be used to replace one, many, or all of a patient's teeth.
Crowns
Crowns cover a tooth to restore its normal function and appearance. Crowns are used for teeth with very large fillings, teeth that have had a root canal, fractured teeth and misshapen and/or discolored teeth.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are used to modify the shape and color of teeth. Thin shells of porcelain are etched and then bonded to the tooth's enamel. Preparation is necessary to avoid over bulking the tooth.
Replacing a missing tooth with a bridge requires a crown for at least one tooth on either side. A false tooth is joined to the crowns and cemented. Bridges cannot be removed; special aids are available to keep clean.
Dentures
The traditional method for restoring function and appearance when a patient no longer has natural teeth. Patients may experience poor stability and decreased chewing function. Dental implants are a popular alternative.
Removable Partial Dentures
When there are multiple missing teeth, weak anchor teeth or no posterior teeth to anchor on, a removable partial denture is used to replace teeth. They must be removed for daily cleaning and at night.
Bridges
Night Guards / TMJ
Grinding teeth at night can be destructive for both the teeth and the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). A custom made night guard can protect the teeth and relieve pressure.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Teeth whitening, reshaping natural teeth, bonding of tooth colored material to teeth and porcelain veneers are popular procedures commonly used to improve a smile aesthetically.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening in a dental practice produces the quickest, most beautiful results by using UV light or laser as the catalyst and custom trays for maximum comfort.
