Quintessence International published Dr. Wadhwani's latest study conducted with the purpose of microbiologically evaluating the ef cacy of cotton and polytetra uoroethylene (PTFE) tape used as spacer materials. Cotton may serve as a route for bacterial contamination of the access cavities and root canal space. In contrast, PTFE tape did not provide an avenue for bacterial contamination.
